Exciting New Survey on the Design and Compression Requirements for Lipoedema

Thanks to everyone who has completed this survey which is now closed. 

The study is being done in collaboration with Lipoedema UK,  Jobskin (a UK based specialist compression garment manufacturer), Dr Lisa Macintyre and Ilka Paling from Heriot Watt University, School of Textiles and Design and builds on Lipoedema UK’s own surveys and Focus Group work.

The survey questioned Lipoedema patients about their relationship with compression garments and what they would ideally want in a future range with particular focus on the fabrics that are most appealing with the aim of  making wearing compression garments a more pleasant and easier experience.

Lisa is a lecturer who has been researching medical compression garments for more than 20 years and Ilka is a final year Fashion Technology student with a focus on medical compression garments for lipoedema.

Results of the survey will be published in 2019.
