We will be holding our first Ambassador Training workshop in London on Tuesday, March 10th 2020 from 11am – 3pm. Places are limited.
If you would like to request a place at this workshop please consider the detailed job brief below (and attached) and reply to Joella@lipoedema.co.uk by February 12th.
On requesting a place you will be emailed with further details on the training day and a short form to complete.
Key skills and considerations for the role
You will need to:-
- Have a Passion for raising further awareness of Lipoedema.
- Have some basic knowledge of lipoedema.
- Have good communication skills, including listening skills.
- Be a good team player and able to work as a member of the volunteerambassador team as well as using your own initiative.
- Understand the Key issues and how these can affect people with the condition and be able to share this with other.
- Be prepared to give key information to delegates at events both verbally and in written format.
- Have an ability to engage with delegates and be able to help with their questions and queries.
- Being able to set up a stand and to carry out manual handling tasks, such as carrying literature or putting up banners etc.
- Preparing the stand will require manual handling activities such as carrying or lifting boxes of literature or setting up and dismantling the pull up banners etc.
- You may need to stand for long periods at the event.
- You will need to travel to the event which may be close to where you live or further afield. Overnight stays and accommodation may be required.
- You may be required to store pull ups, display materials, Lip UK leaflets etc. for a few days or longer periods so please give consideration of storage room etc.
